Conditions of participation and important information about photo tours and workshops

To ensure everything runs smoothly and you are optimally prepared, you will find all the important information for participation here – including information on communication, personal responsibility for excursions, voluntary transfers, and our cancellation policy.
These instructions are binding for all photography tours and workshops – regardless of location or duration – and are part of the booking.
Communication before and during the event (only for photo tours)
To ensure a smooth process, we usually set up a WhatsApp group for all participants. This group provides you with up-to-date information about meeting locations, changes to the schedule, and organizational questions.
Participation in the WhatsApp group is of course voluntary and not a requirement for booking or participating in the photo tour.
Personal responsibility at the photo spots
Some of our photo locations are located in uneven or natural terrain—for example, along coasts, on hiking trails, in mountainous regions, or in urban environments with elevation changes.
Participation in tours, hikes, or ascents is voluntary and at your own risk. Please realistically assess your personal fitness, surefootedness, and equipment.
We ask that you bring appropriate clothing, sturdy footwear, and hiking poles if necessary. You are responsible for your own camera equipment – equipment insurance may be helpful.
The organizer is not liable for accidents, falls or other physical injuries unless they are due to gross negligence.
Transfers between photo locations
To ensure we reach the most beautiful photo locations during the trip in a relaxed and efficient manner, we usually organize shared trips – for example, in rental vehicles or carpools with other participants. If you'd like, you can also drive your own car or book a rental car separately.
These trips are not part of the booked event service, but supplement the program on a voluntary basis. All vehicles used are covered by liability insurance and are generally also covered by passenger accident insurance.
Please understand that we cannot accept liability for damage to personal equipment or injuries during the rides – unless the damage is caused by gross negligence or intent.
Cancellation of the booking
Our photography workshops and photography tours are scheduled events. Since these are leisure activities according to Section 312g, Paragraph 2, No. 9 of the German Civil Code (BGB), there is no statutory right of withdrawal.
We understand that life circumstances can sometimes change at short notice. At the same time, we ask for your understanding that organizing our photo tours incurs initial costs right from the moment you book – for example, for communication, reservations, accommodation allocations, transfers, or external partners. Many of these services must be booked and often paid for well in advance, and are non-cancellable or have limited cancellation options.
Therefore, a flat-rate processing fee of €50 will be charged for each cancellation. We will refund the remaining participation fee – depending on the time of cancellation – according to the following scale:

We strongly recommend that you take out a Travel cancellation or seminar insurance so that you are financially protected in case of unexpected cancellations.
